Werribee Mercy Hospital $93 million expansion near complete
Werribee Mercy Hospital, which is less than 15 minutes from Grace, has nearly completed its $93 million-dollar expansion.
The upgrade spans four storeys at the northern end of the hospital and includes:
- An 8-bed intensive care unit
- 56 inpatient beds
- 6 additional operating theatres
- A new central sterile department
- A multi-storey carpark
Building work has been completed and now all that remains is the internal fit-out, which will be completed within a matter of weeks.
The near nine-figure investment is the biggest in the hospital’s history since it opened in 1994.
The new facilities will be opened to the public in August this year.
