More infrastructure upgrades planned for Wyndham

More parks and open spaces will receive significant investment over the next financial year.

In the 2018/19 budget, $5.87 million has been allocated to the redevelopment of Wyndham Park including $3.2 million in funding coming from the State Government.

The final project will be a recreation and events space with regional significance – an inviting green space by the riverside.

The Wyndham Parks 2021 Initiative will also continue with its $3.36 million upgrade of local parks across the municipality.

Wyndham Parks 2021 intent is to breathe fresh air into existing parks across the area and will include seating and picnic amenities, as well as the planting of more trees.

Sports facilities like Lawrie Emmins Moto X track, Mossfiel Reserve will also receive upgrades while brand new sporting reserves and pavilions will be built in Truganina and Upper Point Cook.
