Cafes out west

Cafés are a huge part of Melbourne’s culture and the west has seen an explosion of new and unique foodie hang outs over the last little while. Here are some cafes out west that are deserving of your attention.

At 7grams – Shop 41, 380 Sayers Rd, Tarneit  

At 7grams gets rave reviews for its breakfast menu, the Eggs Benedict in particular. It is a casual place that’s great for coffee and it’s kid friendly too.

Little Growling – 180 Davis Rd, Tarneit

This café is just 15 minutes’ walk from Grace. Aside from its amazing muffins and baguettes, the best part about Little Growling is the huge connected and enclosed playground which includes a slide, trampolines and more. You can clearly see the kids from the front of the café so adults can enjoy themselves without fuss. 

Eating Station – 269A Robinsons Rd, Ravenhall

Eating Station was started by duo Brad and Kylie in 2016 who put a lot of passion into their business and offer a great range of freshly baked muffins, pastries and other treats. All at a reasonable price.

Cody’s Café – 16/455 Ballan Rd, Wyndham Vale

Cody’s Café is a family-run restaurant that is in tune with the community, head chef, Chris Cody, updates his menu seasonally and keeps up with all the local trends. Cody’s Café is also home to the infamous Scorpion Burger Challenge, a 600g burger featuring four of the world’s hottest chillies.
